Abu Dhabi Tenancy Law No. (20) of 2006, as amended by Law No. (6) of (2009) (the “Abu Dhabi Tenancy Law”), states that rental disputes must be referred to the Rental Disputes Committee, which is stipulated by law. However, Article (2) states that it applies to all types of real estate leased for commercial, industrial, or any professional activities, with the exception of the following activities that are not governed by the Abu Dhabi Tenancy Law: agricultural land and associated buildings.
